Device loss and reconnection

Can you check the firmware of your smart plugs in the Kasa app?

The application is called tapo . Yes, the firmware is up to date. However, he shoots going crazy or works intermittently. The only thing that comforts me is that other users like me in the last 24 hours have the same flaw. I think there is some problem related to homeassistant, because if I open the TAPO app now I see all the devices and they work.

And finally this is the situation at 20:58 PM

There might be a firmware update causing this issue. Could you please share the firmware version currently installed on your smart plugs?

The version I have is 1.3.0, build 230905, rel. 152200.

Mine is the same. However, nothing works now!

I have the same issue with the same plug. They go unavailable, they come back, then go unavailable again. Only Tapo products are concerned.
I have no idea what’s going on.

Please refer to this thread: GitHub Issue #620.

It seems the issue discussed in that GitHub thread exhibits the same behavior as the problems you’re encountering.

The fix in the GitHub thread is updating the integration to support the new protocol.

Please let me know if this is a solution to your probleem!

Absolutely everything in my HACS installation is up to date. All integrations (both official and from HACS) are set to auto-update and I checked I have the latest TPLink integration version.

I can confirm that going to the TP-Link integration in HA and reloading the devices with errors fixed all but one of them.

Thanks a lot for your advice.

I never fixed the issue for me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and a device that was fixed a few hours ago went unavailable as we speak.
I think this Github issue gives some info: TPLink Tapo integration not working anymore · Issue #122083 · home-assistant/core · GitHub apparently blocking internet access to the plug fixes the issue…

Same issue here TP-Link HS220. Started a day ago. Some are showing unavailable. Some are not

As by me! It seems to me that it is now a certainty that there is a problem.

Since today I’ve got the same problem with my two Tapo p115 plugs. Been using HA for a week now. Installed HACS a few days ago. So everything is quite fresh, so to speak.

Edit
After reading the Github issue mentioned by simongrn
I removed Hacs for now and blocked internet acces for the two plugs. It seems to work.

Yes, unfortunately none of them works anymore. My router doesn’t allow me to cut a device off the Internet, so I’m stuck.

Given that multiple people are reporting the same issue, it’s likely a core problem. If there’s no known issue already, I recommend starting a new one and referencing this discussion.

According to this, it will be fixed on Friday

Hello guys I saw and installed the new version of home assistant, but looking at the change logs I do not think it was released the patch for tp-link.

Issue is resolved for me. Power cycle your devices (unplug and replug them), it worked perfectly for me. No more disconnection.

Tomorrow I’ll try to unplug them from the sockets and reinsert them as you say. Let’s hope well .
