Disable/enable switch, input_boolean based on other componnents

I have two switch: player and TV. but tv is dependent to player, if player is turned on, I can turn on the tv.

how can I disable tv switch if player is turned of?

I don’t think anything exists natively in a switch in Home Assistant, although you can sort of achieve this with an automation.

The automation would be triggered by the toggling of the tv switch. The condition would be that the player is off, and the action would be to turn the tv switch off.

Not pretty, but it would work.

How about using a template switch. You could in theory use a template for the “turn on” action to only fire if window is open.
