Do I need to keep port 80/80 mapping on the router for Lets Encrypt to work?

Hello
I cannot find anywhere on how to setup HTTPS access to HA management. Default is HTTP, which is really strange in 2021. Any searches for HTTPS/SSL only lead to guides on how to set it up for remote access.
Anyone has a how to change HTTP to HTTPs for ALL networks? Would also love to have a config option for network etc from within the gui

Many folks are content with non-SSL traffic within their home networks. In any case, you can force SSL by adding an http: section in configuration.yaml as per this.

I did… Used self signed certs, as this whole letscrypt thing is just too hard.
Now, my HA android app is not connecting =(

As far as I know you cannot use ‘self signed’ certificates. That is, you can, but it is quite useless as any webpage opened will have a warning about an invalid certificate.
Worse the app on phone will not open at all.
(guess this not due to HA, but a ios(android?) limitation )

You can use the wizard from CertBot,
I’m running this one scheduled daily, and whenever my certificate is about to expire, it will renew and copyto the proper place

got it working (app) with self signed - had to add root CA to the phone cert store.
When I work out how to do it with a proper CA, I will do it =)
I found few turorials, but they are not for HAOS, but docker running on Ubuntu/RPi
