DSB29-ZWUS not showing up as sensor, but control

I’m moving from SmartThings and added a couple of my existing DSB29-ZWUS window/door sensors to Home Assistant.

They are showing up as “controls” instead of “sensors”. At least when I physically open/close the windows, the"Basic" under Controls is what changes state, not the “Sensor state (Any)” under Sensors

You probably need to set configuration parameter 121 “On Trigger: Send Binary Sensor Report” for the sensor to work. “On Trigger: Send Basic Report” is default disabled, according to the DB, but yours appears to be using Basic so maybe it’s enabled?

If you were using any special “device handler” in SmartThings, it was probably configuring the device for you. HA/Z-Wave JS don’t enforce any default configuration settings, even though it would be preferable in this case.
