I am currently testing your HACS Component/Eltako Integration, @philipp14. I have a basic experimental Eltako Bus Setup with FAM14, FGW14-USB, FUD14, FSR14-4x and some Wall Switches.
Just some little info considering USB-Cables via FGW14-USB. I tried connecting the FGW14-USB via USB-RJ45-Extenders (cheap LogiLink) via Cat7a cable of around 10-15m which at first failed (it worked when directly connected to me HA running Pi). I added a USB-Y-Splitter cable (2 male to 1 female / power splitter) I had lying around on the FGW14-USB side and plugged it to USB power supply - it could connect now.
Before I got this log entry when trying to add the integration and selecting the USB path:

Yeah, I have that too. I just didn’t get the link to MQTT. I thought you are using the IP gateway as they mention MQTT in their data sheet (for energy meters).
Do you expose the bus telegrams/messages to MQTT? Just asking as I’mm trying to understand your post
I stumbled upon this thread and was very happy that at last there is an integration for the eltako bus system. I am using node red for controlling my eltako devices for now and I would like to switch over.
I have installed the integration and added a FUD14 and FSR14 to my config.yaml file. I can control both of them but it seems that there is no feedback from the state of the light.
Currently I’m using my FAM14 with BA on 4 and Auto on 1.
So in the image above I can turn on the light with the switch on the right but it turns back of after 1 second. The light wil stay on and I can switch it off and back on if I click on the lightbulb and use the switch there. This is with the FSR14. With the FUD14 the behavior of the switch on the right is the same. If I click on the lightbulb I can change the brightness of the light but not switch it off.
Is this because I use the FAM14 and not the FGW14 or am I missing something somewhere ?
I checked the logs and the confirmation is send as shown below. This is when I use the switch within HA. It seems that HA does not change the state as the switch slider turns back off after a second or 2.
Could it be that there is something wrong with my conf.yaml ?
I have a Eltako setup running for al lot of years (using FHEM) but are switching to HA.
The FUD dimmers work fine when I use the Enocean-intergration but the FSR relays don’t.
I do use FSR12 but what I have found these should work with the same telegrams only there is no status feedback. So what I would like to test is to switch the left and right relay in one FSR12-12VDC.
The baseID for the USB300 is FF-8C-E8-80 and the relay is FF-8C-E8-82.
I tried various config’s but cannot get the USB300 to send an on or off signal to the relay.
Can somebody help me to setup the config?
I’m currently working on the hearing and cooling parts of the eltako integration.
I can try to make it compatible to 12-series but don’t have any device to test with.
By quickly looking at it, it should be already compatible to fsr14. For sending I use EEP a5-38-08 (gateway command) Could you please find out what EEP command are used by fsr14 and you could also send me the log lines from actor responses.
Have you entered a sensor into the eltako device which is also registered in the config like here: https://github.com/grimmpp/home-assistant-eltako/blob/d5d95b2738d275d69d62fb4c81627755160cde82/ha.yaml#L6
And you should use eep a5-38-08 for the light actor instead of m5-38-08. Both are supported in parallel.
I would love to do the testing but as for now I don’t get the gateway to send anything. When I use FHEM and send a switch command both leds on the receiver and the connected FSR12 blink. The same counts for switching a light when using Enocean in HA. But I cannot get the USB300 to send anything.I need a basic config file with my baseID for the USB300 being FF-8C-E8-80 and a receiving relay on adress FF-8C-E8-82 so that I can test when I flip the switch in HA at least the led’s blink. From there I will use my rs485-converter and and a laptop to see what is send and if it works. But I need it to send “something” in the first place.
I hope this makes sens.
