No I have not. I will try that next.
So what should have been 25 cents has been recorded as $3
The only thing I do note my unit of measurement is $/kWh vice USD/kWh.
the DB needs purging one way or another, an easy thing to try is deleting the energy dashboard config and starting again after a restart.
However I can. It works perfectly.
And we can see from OP’s graph anyway that it is behaving as expected, changing at the appropriate time etc.
The issue is not with the config.
Well the fresh DB seems to have worked. After 3 hours the Energy dashboard is showing the correct costs. I must have done something when I upgraded to 2022.8.
I’m willing to dig deeper if anyone is interested, I still have the old DB and can reinstate to look at the data if needed. Now to figure out if I can import the old DB data without price into the current one.
Thank you guys for helping me!
Good to hear. When all other options are exhausted, start fresh
Did you have any joy with this? I don’t want to have to trash everything and start again!
I did.
Well I did have to start a new DB but I was able to migrate all the old data over to the new DB and all my stats minus pricing was restored.
That’s annoying, was hoping to not lose any data.
When you say you started a new db, I assume you don’t use SQL to store your data and just the standard home assistant one?
It was a bit nerve racking.
But I sat down with a pint and started figuring out how the data was stored in the DB.
I’m using MariaDB and the MySQL workbench client. I creates a clean DB and then pointed HA to it. By DB I mean schema.
If you have experience with SQL and access to a spreadsheet to help build the statements it’s a pretty trivial task be it tedious tho
Luckily mine is back to normal, I still have a fair few days in my history where I spent £15000 on electricity but after updating to 8.4 it went back to normal…
That’s a bummer. Now thinking about it. I think you can probably do the calculations manually and running an update on the statistics table. I’m gonna research this later.
Don’t edit the table. Use Developer Tools → Statistics (ramp icon next to entity).
