It seems that compiling ffmpeg from branch 5.0 did it on my python 3.12 (installed from sources, because this was a debian 11 Bullseye based Raspberry OS system shipped with Python 3.9.2). For the compilations of ffmpeg I followed this post. So I can confirm that works still in 2025.
