ESP32Cam gpio wake-up with zigbee module

Hi all,

I would like to setup a spyhole using a ESP32Cam where one rtsp server will be started and used by HA to show it. The goal is powered it using batteries so I am reading a lot about the different sleep modes. I think the best method to save battery could be set the ESP32 in hibernate mode and wake up using a RTC GPIO.

I have at home different Tuya Zigbee PIR which only are powered with one button cell so I would like to use one zigbee module to enable the ESP32 Gpio and wake up it.

Could be a good idea? can anyone say to me one zigbee module or dev board to use in my setup? Any aliexpress or similar link?

Thank you in advance!!

Best regards!!!

I would research how much current the esp32cam uses in deep sleep mode. Deep sleep current can be surprisingly high for some boards.

Boards with option to power via battery trend to have power optimization.

The video linked here gives a good overview.
