That seems to have done the trick! Thank you so much! Not sure which of the 3 settings did the trick, but just did them all.
I had planned to try and finally fix these two camera’s to get them working inside the dashboard this holiday. Thanks to you and @anon63427907 this actually went really quickly. Not sure how much the update helped. But very glad with it, as the other cam just started working. (Oddly despite me as far as I know always updating the update said I went from a 2.x to 6.0 inside HACS !).
Asking hopefully last one question. Ignore how badly I’ve currently set this up in Nodered as a test. But how do I use the picture the doorbell saved in an iOS notification. I used to have this setup by getting it another way (which broke eons ago) and now noticed there actually is a sensor (yay!):
sensor.deurbel_voordeur_last_camera_picture_url
This returns part of a URL it seems. How can I complete this or use this to make sure this image is used in an iOS notification.
This is my very quickly setup test inside the original (already broken) notification. I get the sensor state and load it into a msg.entity_picture payload that is passed to a call service node that generates the notification to my phone. (I know this can be done more graceful, this is just me trying things and making it a bit visual for myself).
This is me loading the image url into the iOS notification from the said payload.
I have successfully installed the Eufy integration with 4 Eufy SoloCam and 1 doorbell. Thank you @anon63427907. I am able to stream video and/or voice to other devices - Google panel, Google pucks, etc., with the binary_sensor.doorbell_ringing as a trigger for the automations.
I would now like to make this interactive, as per the Eufy app. I have 2 panels in the house, one at the front door and another will be upstairs. I can open the gate from the panel, but I’d like to be able to speak to the person.
The panel at the door is running on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S so I can access the speaker, microphone, and camera on the tablet through the companion app.
I am looking for help in how to automate the user:
to hear what the person says at the gate on the tablet speaker
to click on an icon to activate the microphone on the tablet and transmit what the user says to the doorbell
camera_image is never working for me, not sure why. In eufy Security android app, it is always displaying last image for camera.
Do you also guys have an issue that RTSP is not working. I tried to put direct url with credentials into a VLC player and stream is not working at all. Is it a commony eufy issue, that it is not working from time to time or? I have “Continuous Recording” enabled.
Hello all I am new to Home Assistant and have been trying to connect my Eufy Dual Doorbell to my HA for well over a week, I have got it connected though another way but I really need it to flash my Hue lights when the doorbell is pressed. I am very new to this and have seen the links and just a start page and instruction list would be wonderful. Thanks for your help you have provided
Well I think I am using the same addon but I just opened up HACS and there was a update from V2 to V6 which did not show until now and now has given me the option to automate the doorbell so that is working.
Keep in mind that, this is happening in your internal network, RTSP stream is not available externally. Moreover, this integration (eufy-security-client) is itself a proof that any security measure can be tackled. While we all get angry with eufy about using cloud (and some other stuff), integrating this into home assistant creates another hole. Personally, I do not see any issue of disabling RTSP security given that my home network is protected with MAC addresses.
You should have already greater issues when someone gets into your internal network. If you really want to chase further, anyone can connect this add-on and start streaming.
