Excluding devices from device tracker

I have just updated HA to 0.97.2 and maybe its just the layout and having a look around but I am now seeing a lot more device.tracker devices appearing in unused entities than I was previously.

Can you exclude devices from this list once they have been detected? It is now telling me that my Xbox and Sonos are “home”. Feels a bit unnecessary and cluttered, I thought you could “ignore” devices but cannot see how from the docs now?

I also read in the docs that known_devices is having support stopped, should I not bother giving devices friendly names using the known_devices.yaml? Should I just give devices a name override using the cog in unused entities now, not set them up in known_devices.yaml?

It is no longer possible to excluded these devices.

This was a decision by the developers to make setup ‘easier’.

Yes it is cluttered and unnecessary.

Same issue. Is this still not possible? I see “track: true” but even if I change to false it still shows them as home and away etc. very unnecessary!

Just take control of your UI and remove the entities you don’t want…
