Extend Bluetooth range for Switchbot

hello,

in my home I have two BT Switchbot. I have installed the Switchbot integration SwitchBot - Home Assistant and all is ok for one of the two (the one in the same room as the Raspberry Pi)

the second Switchbot is installed in the upper floor, where I assume no BT signal is available…

I am planning to extend the BT signal with ESPhome gateway because I also have some Xiaomi BLE sensor that works with the BLE Gateway + Passive BLE monitor, but I am not too sure I can use the same architecture for Switchbot

any advise, please?

I have the exact same use case I’m trying to solve. Any luck over the past couple months?

Someone created this awesome ESP32 MQTT bridge: SwitchBot bot/curtain/meter/contact/motion MQTT ESP32 bridge - Local control

wouldn’t work for the switchbot lock, is that your understanding too?
