Had to come back to update:
Today I opened my Z-Wave JS UI, and surprise! The map is different now!
Maybe it is like this for a while now, but is the newer graph any good? better? better but not quite? Would like to hear comments from users here.

Yeah the new graph is much better.
It will change frequently. All the map shows is how the network looked when you clicked on the map. It could change every time you map the network.
