External URL connection timed out

Hello,

I have a problem with the external URL. If I try to reach my HA server from outside my network via the app it doesn’t work. I’ve looked at CanYouSeeMe.org and when I type port 8123 in I get an error saying my connection timed out.

I have ported forward port 8123 to 8123 and from inside my network it works like a charm.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Are you using SSL?

Hi, it worked before, I’m using duckDNS with a Let’s encrypt certificat.

Were there any changes in your setup/network/modem-router/provider/…?
What kind of HA setup do you run?
Does your duckDNS hostname resolve to the current WAN IP address?
What do you use on your LAN to connect to your HA? (browser, IP/hostname, portnumber, http or https)

In october my sister reset the router. That deleted all my settings, but I have given my HA a static IP-address and restored the portforwarding rules. I’m running HA on a raspberry pi 4 with a SSD.
duckDNS has my correct IP address.
If I use LAN I use Chrome with URL: https://example.duckdns.org:8123
