Fan/Light Switch

Has anyone got a config for one of these switch’s ? Ive uploaded esphome and can connect but not sure about the light relay and fan speed control any help always appreciated thanks.

Here is the tasmota template but the light relay wasnt working

Are you going to tell us the brand/model?

whoops that would be a good idea. Im not sure about the make but the model is WF-FL01

I have one of those, I could never manage to get Tasmota nor ESPHome on it unfortunately.

Well the OP has got esphome on it.

@arfrater - where did you get the tasmota template from? I don’t see that model on here https://templates.blakadder.com/ ?

I think I see it here https://templates.blakadder.com/moes_WF-FL01.html

And lookee here https://next.esphome.io/components/fan/tuya.html (NB this is the preview of the next version of esphome, so probably need the dev version of esphome)

There are actually 2 different types of WF-FL01.

One has L M H fan speeds, and one works like a dimmer with fan on/off, and fan speed up fan speed down.

@arfrater how did you actually manage to flash yours ? As i said previously i just couldnt get anything to work – i ended up using a different method but would much rather esphome.

Also – is it just me or is that tasmota running and not esphome at all ?

Hi
I flashed tasmota via hardwires soldered onto the chip connections, I gave up in the end with esphome and put the switch in the to hard basket for now (plenty of other projects to do) I’m going order another one as Ive damaged the old one (dropped it) once things get back to normal (corona virus).

I managed to get OTA Tasmota … but the darn light relay just doesn’t work !!!

You have not told us how you configured it in tasmota.

I just used this template https://templates.blakadder.com/moes_WF-FL01.html

I also tried different TuyaMCU XX,Y settings and none worked :frowning:

Does the fan part work?

Hello Nick, yes it does !!

No luck on the light side. you can physically switch the light on and off … just not via the tasmota interface.

Sorted out with this thread

I have gone trhough quite a few of thse WF-FL01 deices of late … the fan part fails after a while, and regardless of the selected speed, the fan runs at full speed all the time.

I dont suppose you have exeprienced this problem ? I am using the “other” version, with L/M/H fan speed buttons at a light switch, rather than the + / - fan speeds.

Nothing to do with tasmota specifically, jsut curious as to whether its a bad batch, or theres a problem with the device’s design

I have the same problem with the speed, the only problem is with the LOW speed, but sometimes it’s working fine, in my case the LOW speed is so low that the fan spinning in a away that you can’t feel the wind :joy:
