Folders Repeating themself in Core when accessing via SAMBA

HI All
I have a weird situation which I am trying to troubleshoot…

So I was editing some automations in the GUI, and when I went to click save, it sort of hung on the screen for about 10 seconds. I have noticed this over the past few days when I try and make changes.

Anyway in the logs. i saw this error below

I also noticed it seems to lose access to the network for a few seconds…

So I checked and it appears that any shared folders, seems to just keep repeating themself. I.e like the config folder (See below)

I have disconnected the watchman integration, but I was wondering why the folders, simple seem to keep repeating themselves.

I am on OS 10.3 Core 2023.6.03 and supervisor 2023.06.4

Recursive config folder?

Happend here on a RPI4, Debian 11, HA Supervised too. Nothing wrong with the file system as you have found that out already but the culprit seems to be a bad (infinite) symlink: /usr/share/hassio/homeassistant/config -> /config -> /config -> /config —> and so on wihout end. I solved it by using the CLI (SSH) cd-ing into the root of the config directory: cd /usr/share/hassio/homeassistant and simply ran: unlink config After the unlinking those infinite config directories were gone.

That seems to be similar to what I was having. It also seems to be for all my shared folders

I checked another one i.e media and can see it is linked as well

I am trying to think what I did on Tuesday, cause it has affected all of them
Anyway I have been able to unlink them, but because I am using HAOS I don’t need to go to the root

so I can just go to the folder and unlink it all of them. I will see if that also helps with the watchman issues, as i think it might be related…
