What should the procedure be for migrating existing FKB instances from the custom component to the official integration?
It probably sends configuration settings to Fully.
Hi,
how can I switch from custom_integration to official? I have the integration under config/custom_components. do I have to delete them? When I want to add fully under Integrations in Home Assistant, I get an error:
Home Assistant is current version.
Thank you,
Greetings
Yes, you will need to delete the fullykiosk folder from your custom_components and restart Home Assistant. After restarting you may need to force-refresh the UI (Ctrl-F5 on Chrome/Firefox/etc on desktop)
@cgarwood thank you very much, now it works
I have Fully Kiosk on three Amazon fire tablets. My kiosk dashboard runs a few components, the biggest being the frigate card that rotates every five seconds between five different camera feeds from a UniFi Protect camera system as camera objects in Home Assistant.
There are no issues with this dashboard when I run this on my computer. Occasionally, one or more, but often not all, of the camera feeds become stale on one or more of the Fire Tablets. But not all, For example, it is 8 PM, and I am looking at the image from 3 PM of one of my cameras in my living room fire tablet It’s cycled through the other four with a live image just fine, and then cycles back to the same 3 PM image. As if it’s cached somewhere. The office fire tablet shows the correct time and view of the camera in question.
Any idea how I can fix this? I disabled various cash settings in fully kiosk, with the issue still recur. Quitting fully kiosk on my fire tablet and restarting it makes all five cameras work again for a period of time, until one or more of them stop working and show the cached image. But I’d rather not have to schedule an app reload every N minutes.
Thanks
I have two tablets, each with a couple of tabs for live feeds from my doorbell and my backyard cameras. Never had this problem since setting FKB up a couple of years ago. My feeds come from Zoneminder, btw.
Is it possible to use the Fully Kiosk integration to reboot a Galaxy Tab A without rooting? I get the “Failed to perform the action” error. I’m also unable to connect it to Android Debug Bridge so I can’t use that to reboot it either.
No, i don’t think so. I tried rebooting, too, but it requires rooting, as well as some other functions.
