I do have mine set up via Google Assistant, and it seems to work just fine via voice commands, but it doesn’t show up nicely in the Google home app. I don’t tend to use the Google home app much, so I never really cared.
I should mention that I’m using the Nabu Casa google assistant integration, not the HA built-in integration.
