I just installed two of these last week. Both units occasionally drop off the wifi network. What’s really strange is that they both drop off and reconnect within a 5min of each other even though the duration can be several hours per disconnect. I placed one unit next to my wifi AP and it had no effect. Is anyone else experiencing these issues? These are my first two ESPHome devices, so maybe there’s an issue with my ESPHome system - which is part of HA Yellow.
Siress, how did the 2GHz work out. I noticed on several of my IoT devices that when my firmware on my router automatically started using WPA3 instead of WPA2, I was having connectivity issues on many devices. Switch the router back to use WPA2 manually and every thing is working fine.
Probably need to work with O/S/C INPUT is used for the connection of a wired switch (momentary contact). This switch can then be used to open, stop or close the door. Install the wall switch in a location where the switch is out of reach of children and the garage door is visible.
