I have seen several posts on people having issues with there GE/Jasco Z-wave dimmer switches not updating at all or very quickly. I have done some experimenting and have ended up with the following settings. Not sure if they are the best settings but here is what I ended up with.
Polling intensity:3
7: Z-Wave Command Dim Step: 99
8: Z-Wave Command Dim Rate: 99
Anybody have better suggestions to improve performance of these switches? I am using he Aeotec gen 5 USB Z-wave stick.
Updates don’t seem particularly slow
My issue is OFF does not show off in HA. More like
ON>>OFF(HA Show dim but light actually off)>>press OFF again so HA show OFF
I was having the same issue. Changed the settings and it got better. Eventually the status updates
I have recently moved from ST and have noticed when controlled manually the UI doesn’t reflect the switch being off.
Still trying to learn some of the zwave settings. I was able to set the parameters 7 and 8, but not sure how to setup the polling intensity?
Sounds like the same issue I’m having with fan controller.
Post has a automation for a workaround. Would need to be tailored for the dimmer. And a link to the zwavejs bug that will be fixed. Would be great to see if this is the same issue, as that may help prioritizing the bug fix.
