Generic Energy Sensor

seasoned rookie needs help please, I thought I seen somewhere the option of creating a generic energy usage sensor… I have a 1500w (120v) space heater that is controlled by a wifi puck outlet. Can someone please share an example of how to create a total kwh used sensor for it? I want to be able to see this on a Lovelace card as well. Thank you
