Google Calendar Event help

Howdy,

I was able to get the calendar setup using:

I am able to see my sensor:

for the calendar but im a noob and confused as to how to setup the sensor to show the events for all the listed attributes. Can some one give me an idea of a decent setup using the supplied attributes on the google calendar events page? I am not good yet with the templating as of yet but working toward it at some point.

Calendars act like sensors. Use the on/off state to trigger an automation. Here’s an example:

I haven’t worked with the built-in offset settings (!!), but I wanted to have an event that alerts me 15 min before an event ends (so that I’m reminded in time to pick up my son from school). I didn’t have any luck getting this to work as a template trigger, so I created a sensor (with the same template rules), then created an automation that watches the state of that sensor.
