Just came across this thread while looking for details on how to update my code for the deprecated “custom” component. My old code (see details Sharp GP2Y1010AU PM2.5 particle/dust sensor - working) worked and produced results like this (with a spike in particulate matter when roasting on the BBQ, as you’d expect):
With ESPHome device support I can probably ditch the customised library (.h) file I created, will see how I go.
