Great Bug! Last change and last update of entity after restart

Hello,

After restart i get the time of restart but not the time of real change of update of input boolen (othe types has the same problem)

These are the times of reboot, not real change.
By the way - timeSinceLastChanegMs is also time since restart.

It seems to be the great core bug.

Any ideas how to fix?

It’s not a bug. It’s just the way things work right now.

There has been decent discussion on why it works this way, and if it was possible to change it though:

Every reboot I loose so much data about entities that I would like to keep on. Last time guest visited my house? Last time heating unit went on (to be checked in summer)? Last time never-used light changed? The answer is always the same: x hours/days ago, where x = date of restart. I know I can use automation and store that data in input_date or whatever… But it’s not easily visible in UI, i.e. as a secondary-info. [image] That light was on last time 3 months ago, not 18 hours.

It’s Node-Red.

If you are using Home Assistant OS or Home Assistant Supervised, it is easy to install Node-Red because there is a Node-Red Add-On.
