GTFS for Public Transport revamped

Auto-entities is (as its name) only filter on entity level, not on attributes, no chance there…but my documentation also presents a similar solution via markdown

Thanks for this!

No whatter what I try though I only get “Still extracting data” message. It’s been 36 hours since uploading and extracting the .zip file for Metro Los Angeles.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

And do provide details

I spent an hour to figure out where exactly I should put a local .zip file. It is probably well documented, but in case somebody else struggles like me

  • create a folder named gtfs2 in your config folder
  • make sure the name of your zip file matches the name of the ‘Data Source filed’ in the add integration dialog.

Well, it was not that well documented but the description of the option to install a new datasource gives it away a bit. It is something few people use (never had any question like this). I updated the doc

I’ve tried it for two days now. Using two differrent *zip files.
Even waiting +12 hours getting the “(Still) extracting data, this will take time” error.

The sqlite file is in the gtfs2 folder and fully unpacked. I tried the url variant and uploaded the file manually into the folder. Still wont work.

I also tried the german local feed: Feeds - GTFS for Germany still the same error.

I installed HA on unraid with VM.

Any ideas?

Thank you!

Set the system to debugging and look at the logs, that might help…main issue with gtfs are the datasources themselves
