Click on “open web ui” and try it from there.
Thanks, I catually tried that before I posted, but I just tried again.
The result is the same:
I uninstalled and re-installed as a test and get the same thing so I checked with frenck. Apparently the cli was moved to a different package. Be on the lookout for an update for the add-on, Soon-ish™
Thanks so much, yes the update worked and I now have nmcli
What Wi-Fi card are You using, mine is Intel AX200NGW on m.2 (in passthrou mode on KVM VM). Live Linux distros see it with out problem but HA OS 8.4 does not. Do You know how to update Wi-Fi drivers on HA OS?
That sounds very promising. Because I have this problem on mi RasPi Zero. But if I start the Raspi, I will end in a command promt, from HomeAssistant:
ha > _
If I type in nmcli
It results in an error
what I am doing wrong?
For those who want to try:
This also works with an USB WiFi dongle on a ODROID N2.
Tried it today and works from the start. Only struggle I had was to get the terminal up and running.
In the installation page of the addon, go to the configuration tab and change the password to something unique. After that it works as advertised
Before using nmcli you need to type in login.
Hello!
I have a comment regarding the advice to not use the HA server over Wifi:
There are people who use HA in their motor-home/caravan; therefore, over Wifi.
While my RPi4 with HA works nicely over Wifi, I wonder why nmcli radio
shows “missing” for WIFI-HW and for WWAN-HW:

What am I missing here? (I redacted the IPs above)
The LAN cable is not connected, but as written above, I have access to HA from my local Wifi network. I use the SSH & Web Terminal (v12.1.1) and disabled blocking elevated system access.
Thanks for sharing your ideas and helping me to understand what this means!
Hi there! Can somebody please comment about my question, maybe providing some help? Thank you so much!
I just got that too.

I have internet access on both, though for some reason it keeps putting the wlan0 into the default, but every time I try to update Home Assistant Core, I get an error. Three restarts no change.
This might help: cli: indicate missing radio hardware in "nmcli radio" (!1157) · Merge requests · NetworkManager / NetworkManager · GitLab
It is still the same for me with latest HA on a Raspberry Pi 4 B:
OS Version: Home Assistant OS 9.5
Home Assistant Core: 2023.4.5
Home Assistant URL: http://homeassistant.local:8123
Observer URL: http://homeassistant.local:4357

Why does it show “missing” twice?
2.5 years later and ur still a hero!
was looking for this, thx
This does not work for me. I get an error about Secrets were required but not provided.
Thanks a lot. Gives a warning about nmcli and NetworkManager not match, but works fine.
