HA Dying Daily. Readonly filesystem (Not on an SD)

My filesystem has been flipping to read only on a daily basis. I’m not sure how to troubleshoot this. Looked at a couple of other threads and they all are around SD cards failing. In my case, it’s a VM on a synology, so no issue with drives failing.

I originally started with a 10GB disk (VM manager won’t let you choose the initial size when it’s a disk image). I then upped it’s size to 32GB. I can’t tell if the OS recognizes it all though. Still trying to wrap my head around the hassio concept.

What should I be checking here. I see plenty of space left in “overlay”, but 0 in “/dev/root”.
Could something here be the cause?

HA logs don’t show anything. I’m just seeing it’s flipping to read only on the console. Are there other logs that could have the errors I’m looking for?

I’ve been having the same occurrence over the last week.
Just looking through the forums I found this post, that has some troubleshooting tips.

Think I’ll wipe my HA container, in Proxmox and start again from a backup to see if that fixes my problems

Challenge is when it’s shot, I can’t check anything. No SSH, nothing.
I did start a new VM with the disk size pre-set to 32GB. Haven’t had the issue since.
Not sure if the disk size was the issue at all or something else.
I restored a backup from the previous VM, and aside from uninstalling/reinstalling mariaDB, it’s the same setup. So far so good.

That’s good news. I’ll commit to a fresh start and restore like you, now the weekend has started
