I got the old VM to start up again finally, it’s just still super slow. I’m trying to disable integrations but it only let me disable one before grinding to a stop again…
You are either not creating a valid VM container for HAOS or your Proxmox is broken.
I suggest you follow my guide how to install Proxmox and then follow my HAOS VM installation. Trying to do what is already failing time and again will just frustrate you.
The above looks fine. Was HA up and running when you captured the screen shot? I would expect a python3 process to be near the top of that process list. Did you watch this while performance degraded on the system? If the above was captured while HA was running in a degraded state then I’d question your proxmox host. Do you have other VMs running while HA is running? If yes then I’d stop any other VM and see how HA works.
Thanks for this. Yes, that was captured while HA was running in its corrupted state. It’s the only VM I’m running.
Tonight I am going to try to re-install proxmox using os.habitats.tech’s guide and start over completely. Hopefully I will be able to install my HA backup… the thought of reconfiguring everything again from scratch just sounds exhausting.
Oh my god, I FIXED IT!!!
The issue was that somehow, my old NAS decided it was going to start up my old HA instance VM on its own. It was running on my network with the same MAC address as my new VM on proxmox, without me knowing. So when I was trying to connect to my HA instance on web URL, it didn’t know which one I was trying to talk to.
Y’all have no idea how happy I am that I don’t have to start over. Appreciate everyone talking me through these troubleshooting tips!
