HASS.agent, a Windows-based client (companion) application

Since there is no dedicated topic for this new version of the integration, I’m creating one.

To be clear: I have nothing to do with it, I’m not the developer or involved in the process.
It’s just to give it a place here in the forum to be able to discuss this.

This is a forked version of the app (the latest version of the original dates from Nov 12, 2022)
All the info on:

NOTE: the original version is available through the official HACS integrations, for this one you have to add a custom repository.

Hi Wally, that’s the old version and that topic is a mix of both versions and replies to it.
That’s why I created this placeholder.

Depending on your use case, another option to consider is System Bridge which works for Windows and Linux.

Like HASS.Agent, it’s less of a companion app and more of a way to get sensor values for your computers, which I find more valuable than a companion app or HA client since HA can always be accessed via the browser.

I’m trying out both System Bridge and the newly forked HASS.Agent, and so far they each have their pros and cons.
