Hassio on freeNAS VM

I’m wondering if someone can point me in the right direction? I’ve got portainer up and running on a VM on freeNAS. I’m able to get home assistant up and running using the install commands But I’d like to get Hassio up and running and all the guide is for Ubuntu. Is there any easy way to get Hassio running on freeNAS?

I’d really appreciate it if someone is able to point me in the right direction.

No.

You can create an Ubuntu VM (and install hassio using the script), or try to make behyve work with the vmdk file.

While there is the possibility of installing Home Assistant on FreeNAS in iocage (or as a community plugin) or through Docker, FreeNAS also allows for the use of VMs. This guide is not about installing Home Assistant in FreeNAS or onto a Linux VM machine running on FreeNAS but burning a HassOS virtual appliance as a VM running on FreeNAS.
