Having problem with climate modbus entity - wrong values

I have a working MODBUS TCP connection to an ESP-32 “slave” which is running the Arduino version of MODBUS-slave. Home Assistant (as well as the open-source Rapid Scada software) is working to poll various “sensors” from the ESP-32 device. However, it appears that he Home Assistant implementation of MODBUS (tcp) keeps the TCP connection to the device “open” after initial connection and polling.
