not sure how this is helping me find an answer to the question on _stateDisplay and action_name tbh. Nothing in the card-mod docs pointing to changing that?
Sorry. I didn’t read carefully enough and just assumed you were asking about changing, like, the color of the icon.
Best way to get a custom state display for an entity is probably a template sensor.
hmm, that would create a lot of extra sensors in the system…would be so nice if we could simply adjust the way the entities are displayed, without having t create many extra entities.
would be even better if we could do so globally, as per example I gave. Still being able to change them individually would make for a great start
