Home Assistant interface for Garmin's Connect IQ platform

Thank you so much, now It works!
The mistake was in the URL, i set It with slash of default view instead should be only the root path.

Thank you. Great widget. Quick question is the number of items displayed by HASSIQ limited to 16? If so can I increase this somehow?

Alan, thank you very much for creating such a nice app !
Unfortunately, I have the new venu 2 plus, and I can’t install it because it is not listed as a compatible device - I think it is 100% same hardware as venu 2 (with voice features on the top so shouldn’t require any changes), @alanf could you please add this model to the list ?

Whats the difference between this app and the HassControl app?

Which one is better?

I can’t tell you. I started with HassIQ, at that time HassControl did not existed.
HassIQ never stopped working, never had an issue, so I never tried to change…

Actually if you see up, i used hass IQ before
Now i have a new watch and saw hass control
i just installed it.
Looks fancier i think

But, the only thing i have in the past is the following;
It was in the middle of the night, and the face of my watch was accidently on the garage door to open

I dont want to accidently open my garage door in the middle of the night, cause my watch screen wasnt locked.

How do you guys handle this?
Do you lock your watchscreen every night?
Or can i have something that before toggling the entity, it asks permission?

I always exit the HassIQ app back to the base screen. As my Fenix does not have a touch screen, button control only, this never happens to me. Accidentally press of the start button then must happen 3 times, before any action happens and that would be a start of a walk activity…

Hello all,
any chance to have one of the HASS widget working on the Fenix 7?
Neither HassIQ nor HASScontrol are listed as compatible with the fenix 7 (although very similar to the Fenix 6 regarding HW and Core SW…)

That would be great !

Hopefully @alanf will add the new models soon to the compatibility list, then it should be fine

1.0.15 should support additional devices.

Hi Alan! This is an awesome idea, thanks for sharing your work with everyone.
I found in the store both HassIQ and HassControl. I installed HassIQ but it doesn’t show up in my list of widgets on the watch (Garmin Venu 2s). Then, I wanted to uninstall/reinstall it, but it refuses to uninstall. If I click on uninstall, exit the app menu, come back, the app is still there. I’ve restarted my watch and it’s the same behavior. Any tips on what to do here ? I’m able to install/uninstall other apps.

Hi, great widget thank you very much. Just upgraded my F6 to a F7X and now it is only available as an App. Any chance of changing it so it is back as a widget? Thanks

Is this app offline in the connectiq store?

Yes, you can join us by waking up @alanf

Unfortunately I no longer use a Garmin device. This, combined with many negative reviews and complaints due to Garmin not letting the app uninstall from some devices (which is a Garmin problem), I figured it was better to just remove the app.

I would fully support someone else taking the code and distributing it on the Garmin store if they want.

That is bad news for us, the happy users.

Understandable, but still, it just sucks.

Anyway, thank you very much for all the effort done. My wife now just has to miss it, and I hope my watch never need to be factory reset…

And just to help others, I’ve successfully installed now https://github.com/hasscontrol/hasscontrol#hasscontrol

unfortunately, non of my devices (edge 1030, Fr955) is supported by the other app.

I have an FR 920XT whose app stopped working when I switched from DuckDNS to another domain. Through some trial and error using VSCode and the Connect IQ SDK (download | guide) I was able to build the app and sideload it on my watch.

Glad to have it up and running again. Thank you for making this widget, @alanf! It definitely makes it easier putting off getting a new watch
