In the news but for wrong reasons
The flaw in the referenced Avast post was fixed not long ago. The Samba addon no longer has guest access enabled by default.
Combined with an UPNP enabled router it was a pretty bad security flaw.
hhmm…. 
I’m glad to say that it does appear that the people who mattered were either already acting or were listening to all those expressing concern in the summer because big improvements seem to have been made in this area over the last few months.
For which they deserve our thanks.
