No firewall, yes I tried to restart all many times.
I don’t use PiHole or AdGuard
In fact nothing is working with this package, even HomeAssistant first start,
got always an error, on next step from the location configuration page:
Failed to save: undefined
When I install only the image last version 0.117.5 (of course first delete all ), all is working perfectly, no bug on the first run, updater is working, weather works well, no error on the log file, even system-health works fine !
So is there a tuto to add hassio manually?
Hi fredrike, I am so grateful for this package, and I’ve used it for 10 months or so. Unfortunately, I noticed that supervisor had stopped working a few weeks ago. After trying all the steps above, I ended up re-installing from scratch. At this time, I am getting the message “Unable to load the panel source: /api/hassio/app/entrypoint.js”. Stopping and restarting doesn’t work, and I have noticed the following error in my hassio_supervisor container log: Supervisor doesn’t work with docker version 18.09.0. Could this be the reason my supervisor won’t run? Thanks!
Did you stop the package and then delete the hassio_supervisor container?
Do you have the latest Docker package installed? The Docker daemon version should then be 18.09.8: https://www.synology.com/de-de/releaseNote/Docker
I’ve added following line before line 38 to set the exclude label for Watchtower: https://github.com/fredrike/spksrc/blob/7abccb3988f59f16613d1ef40d05b528833fae33/spk/hassio/src/hassio.sh#L38
-l com.centurylinklabs.watchtower.enable=false \
to
/volume1/@appstore/hassio/bin/hassio.sh
Yes I have, and I’ve attached the hassio_supervisor log after deleting the container and restarting HA. Yes, I’m on 18.09.8. Thanks for your help!
Been working today on an installed and ran into the issue below. Have attempted the steps indicated in Post #2 several times with no success.
Any help is appreciated.

I’ve been having issues too to get it installed on my syno.
i disabled the firewalls already, but that doesn’t seem to do the trick.
It’s stuck at downloading/installing the CoreDNS plugin.
below in the log it mentions “system is not healthy” at some lines.
Also… somehow the log are running one hour behind (it’s 14.00 not 13.00) could this be some daylight savings issue?
At the moment one of my HardDrives is reporting allot of disk failures in the synology test, but is perfectly healthy in the ironwolf test.
This fight has been going on for months and my synology is running fine (with a spare just in case) and I have had no issues with it.
It would be strange that a docker package wouldn’t install because of this warning, as I can manually install everything, but I figured it might be good to mention it

I’ve been using this for a few weeks despite a wobble its been going great guns on my Synology NAS.
I do have a question though - after using supervisor to install grafana and InfluxDB I am struggling to access the two environments through anything but the HomeAssistant environment.
When I try to access my InfluxDB host page via http://<SYNOLOGY_LOCAL_IP>:8086/ from a computer on the same network as the NAS I get a ‘404 page not found’ response. Yet this is the exact address that Grafana uses to access InfluxDB albeit internally on the Synology NAS.
The firewall on the Synology isn’t live so I’m struggling to find out how to access these pages from my local computer. Anyone any ideas?
Hello,
Today I try to setup hassio, but catch follows errors:
WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.plugins.dns] Error on install CoreDNS plugin. Retry in 30sece
WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.jobs] 'Updater.fetch_data' blocked from execution, system is not healthy
WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.resolution.evaluations.base] Docker version '18.09.8' is not supported by the Supervisor! (more-info: https://www.home-assistant.io/more-info/unsupported/docker_version)

WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.resolution.evaluations.docker_configuration] Docker logging driver db is not supported!
WARNING (MainThread) [supervisor.resolution.evaluations.docker_configuration] Docker storage driver btrfs is not supported!
Also, I tried to found how to setup stable tag of container, and in file service-setup
I found link to dead file – https://s3.amazonaws.com/hassio-version/stable.json
I have had Home Assistant running in a docker container on my Synology for 1-2 years. I’ve always known that hass.io/supervisor were out there, but I was never really sure what they did. Do I want to run hass.io on my Synology instead of HA directly? What am I missing out on by doing it the way I have been doing it?
Hello,
Trying to do my first Hass.io install and strugling …
This is my setup:
Ds 218+
DSM 6.2.3-25426
Just be careful that it also doesn’t update any other container managed by hassio. I would recommend that if you leave Watchtower running (even with current Docker hub limits imposed) that you configure it in such a way that it only updates listed containers instead of adding flag to not update specific containers.
Some errors you can ignore - search for older posts as it was mentioned dozen of times so far here.
But others I see a lot in last few days (not in my setup, but others have it) - related to coreDNS and being unable to resolve requests.
These are network problems - not sure what could be the problem, but looks like your installation is unable to resolve DNS requests to check for latest version, updates, get sensor data etc. Some of the possible issues - you have Firewall on, you use PiHole/AdGuard and it’s blocking traffic, or just network problem with your router/gateway being unavailable to hassio.
Same goes for you @antoshka - first two errors are problem, last 4 are completely unimportant.
EDIT: there is an issue that looks like this core DNS problem…
But that’s just me guessing
Try using following:
http://<SYNOLOGY_LOCAL_IP>:8086/health
I was getting the same exact errors after installing today. It seems to be a hass.io supervisor issue, not a problem specifically with the synology package.
As a test, I modified the file /usr/local/hassio/etc/hassio.json to use the “248” tag of amd64-hassio-supervisor and that problem went away after stopping and restarting the package.
Here’s my hassio.json:
{
"supervisor": "homeassistant/amd64-hassio-supervisor:248",
"homeassistant": "homeassistant/qemux86-64-homeassistant",
"data": "/volume1/Data/hass.io"
}
I have applied this fix confirmed the issue appear to be with the supervisor. The error message changes. I uninstalled my old version to start fresh and have been having the issue described above. updating hassio.json on my nas allows the updater to hit the net.

Joe,
Thanks alot!!!
Confirmed and solved after editing and restarted finally installed succesfully.
Further testing shows that the issue occurs in the 2020.11.0 tag.
You can use the 2020.10.1 tag which appears to be the latest one that doesn’t have the issue.
“supervisor”: “homeassistant/amd64-hassio-supervisor:2020.10.1”
