Yes, they are the zone heat demands - they should match those in your evohome controller UI.

They are TRVs - have a look at the state attributes of those entities for zone membership, etc.

The 10 should be an OpenTherm bridge, the 34 is the Round.

The 20 is usually HVAC, the 18 is probably your gateway, the others can likely be ignored - they are Honeywell Jasper kit - a thermostat & a router.

What that is saying is that 04:163537 is configured as a child of zones 01 and 09.

It is because of that error that the last zone has no actuators - ramses_rf is refusing to process the payload of the relevant packet, because it leads to an inconsistent state.

Note that zone 09 only has two actuators, in any case.

You will need to do a site survey, and destroy / re-create any zone that has a TRV in it that shouldn’t be there (the controller UI only allows you to add devices to a zone).

Do you mean that my actual physical Evohome setup is wrong and TRV’s have been assigned to the wrong zones? Could be, but would that not be unlikely as this would have caused all kinds of strange behavior not? Been running like this for years. Also the HR92 -when you add/replace battery- tells you to what zone it is connected and I always check this.

So as this is quite some work; Can I test it with one zone which now Ramses says it’s configured wrong? Delete it completely and rebuild? And would expected behavior of Ramses be that (after a reboot I guess?) the TRV’s are correct connected to the zone in the schema?

However, I can say something potentially useful: schedules are not obtained by ramses_rf by default - you have to use the service call - then they’re part of the entity state attributes.

The thing is, until you your evohome zones configured correctly, please don’t ask for any help if you see something odd.

So I will be re-configuring evohome as you suggest.

Is a physical change visible in the schema after or do I need to force that by removing the ramses_cc file under storage or by restore_schema: false? Asking as this is quite some work and can’t do all of the zones at the same time because I have a lot of existing automations connected to all of these zones via the cloud version of the integration and these might be affected as soon as I start to re-configure and some TRV’s are at difficult to reach locations.

The 2 ‘badkamer’ zones do show sensors but no actuators (each should have 1), is your expectation they also show correctly when I reconfigure in Evohome? I would like to start with those then

Allright! Took a few hours but re-configured all zones in Evohome. Especially re-creating the schedules was a bit of a pain. But all done.

Schema (ramses.cc below) now looks correct beside one thing; zone ‘woonkamer’ (zone 01) has 2x TRV and the Evohome controller as sensor. The 2 TRV’s are shown correctly but I don’t see the evohome as sensor. Is this expected behavior?

Schema (ramses.cc below) now looks correct beside one thing; zone ‘woonkamer’ (zone 01) has 2x TRV and the Evohome controller as sensor. The 2 TRV’s are shown correctly but I don’t see the evohome as sensor. Is this expected behavior?

@Tyfoon When you reconfigured the zones, did you factory reset and unbind everything?

I removed all the TRV’s, unbound them, removed zone and removed the batteries, removed ramses_cc and all the sensors and ramses_cc still showed the TRV in the scheme. @zxdavb is there a config file some where I am missing when I completely remove ramses_cc? Or is it the controller that is holding onto old information?

No need to.

1. Remove the zone on the Evohome controller
2. Create a new zone in the controller (can be the same name as before)
3. Add the TRV’s etc

I did this only for the zones that showed in the schema as wrong (eg not the amount of actuators I expected).

Then I deleted ramses.cc file (handy file to look at) under .storage and restarted HomeAssistant. I think you can also do this by setting a flag in the config but I found that to be more work.

When you then check the schema (after a few mins) you should see them correctly added to that zone.

You will need to re-create your schedules for the zones that you deleted

Create a spare zone (if you can).

For each zone that needs reconfiguring:

1. Copy its schedule to the spare zone
2. Delete it, and recreate it.
3. Bind the sensor (AFAIK, no need to reset the sensor first)
4. Bind each actuator (no need to reset TRV, but probably need to reset BDR, depending)
5. Copy back the schedule

Restart HA with restore_cache: False, but remember to remove that flag (or set to True) after HA has started. Or, you can simply delete the .storage/ramses_cc file.
