Honeywell/Resideo Lyric T5 - Thermostat Target Temperature not working

This seems like a recent change. Noticed from yesterday (may be a day before) that any changes made to temperature either using the dashboard or through nodered are not working. I can use the Honeywell Lyric app and make changes. I rolled back a few homeassistant versions to test and even they are now broken. So this points to the issue being at Honeywell (Resideo) side? I searched all forums and did not find any other user facing this. Am I the only one impacted? How can I troubleshoot this? Help please!

I am using the Honeywell Lyric integration.

The core integration has been broken since the upgrade to 2024.5. There are several issues in GitHub about it, but the one that seems to likely be the primary issue (or at least the most visible) is this one which seems to have a fix, but it isn’t merged.

I see that the PR is still open. I am on 2024.5.5 version. But somehow this is suddenly working since afternoon today (US ET). What changed for this to suddenly start working?

Nothing that I’m aware of because it’s still not working for me and the integration is still failing to properly initialize if I force a reload of it.

I am 100% sure the thermostat firmware version was 4.4.2.80 when I noticed this issue. I have 2x T5 devices and both were at this version. I noticed today the version has jumped to 6.0.1.30. Thats a huge change in version numbers and I cant tell when was the last firmware pushed to thermostats. My thermostats continue to work ok with 2024.5.5.
