Honeywell Vista 20P alarm control panel with HA

I don’t see any iControl HASS plugin so I think you need an Envisalink or AlarmDecoder. I believe in keeping my alarm system somewhat separate from HASS and other automation so I’m using AlarmDecoder (happily). I have a full Vista 20P set up (panel, multiple keypads, sensors, sirens, etc) and use the AlarmDecoder to report on open windows and doors in HASS. I use the AlarmDecoder webapp to send me notifications of various conditions right now (arm, disarm, alarm) as it only does one job and I leave it running all the time. Since I’m always experimenting with HASS, I don’t see it as a reliable way for me to get alarm notifications. Once my system is up and running fully, I might switch to using HASS to do the notifications (or not - who knows) and maybe allow some control but I prefer the local hardwired keypads for that.

I had an Envisalink at my previous house. Both it and AlarmDecoder (AD) work fine. AD requires a bit more work if you want notifications (install and get AD web app running on a local machine) but it gives you full local control with no cloud access to your alarm which I preferred. Envisalink was a little simpler to set up but talks to their servers which I didn’t like.
