Honeywell WiFi thermostat

Hi, I’m looking into getting one of these (Honeywell wifi 9000 with color touch screen)

https://www.amazon.com/Honeywell-TH9320WF5003-Programmable-Thermostat-Requires/dp/B0166QE9QC

Is it compatible with HA, following the climate instructions (https://home-assistant.io/components/climate.honeywell/)? If so, any negatives/positives to note?
I have a heat pump for heating and cooling and electric resistive emergency (aux) heat on the current thermostat, for what its worth.
Thanks!

I don’t know this specific model, but Honeywell Evohome is only partially supported. HA sees it’s 4 zones as 4 single thermostat, and doesn’t support mode changing (Home, Away, Economy…).

I use a model similar to this and it works. I believe as long as you have
one that supports Total Connect it should work fine.
I followed the following thread using “climate 1:” to get mine working.

The issue with Honeywell is that its on the cloud AND they rate limit you, you’ll see the note in he docs you linked to. So getting faster updates may not work. Also, the fan portion is not implemented yet so you won’t be able to turn on/off the fan.

I realize this is a dormant thread, but FWIW (and I realize it’s not ‘pure’ HA), I’ve been able to leverage IFTTT and it’s Honeywell integration to turn the fan to ON / AUTO
