Not sure if this helps, but I hav programed an microcontroller wiht GSM-module to commuincate with HA over MQTT. This way I can send SMS with HA trough MQTT and the GSM-module.
Sadly i had not stated USA based…many of these options are more suited for European countries.
Whatsapp works also.
There is an integration that can send to groups also.
Or just use the HA app
