How do I add Apple Watch as a device?

I have successfully used this guide https://espresense.com/beacons/apple to identify the device ID of my Apple Watch. How do I then add the device to Home Assistant?

I have tried the Add Device option in Settings/ Devices & Services/ Devices and tried selecting both Apple and Bluetooth but got an error saying there were no more devices to add, without even getting the option to enter my device ID.

Hi @Dave02

If you’re looking for a general Home/Away presence device tracker, you might want to look at our Theengs Gateway Add-on implementation, with additional security relevant unlocked property, described at

Maybe this?

I found this YouTube video that talks about adding an AppleWatch to Home Assistant that mentioned that integration.

The actual part for adding the AppleWatch to HA is at about 5:29.

THIS.

This sent me down a whole rabbit hole, but basically you can extract your devices BLE IRK from the Keychain Access app by typing in it’s MAC from the Settings app on the device itself into the Keychain Access search field on your Mac, and then enter it into the site below to extract the IRK from the password field and enter it into the Private BLE Device integration which then allows other integrations to track the device around your home, even when it uses private BLE MAC addressing (as Apple devices do).
