How esp32 relay board switches work

Yeah, when I got into this thing I was building a manual switch board where every single thing could be switch up and down manually. Partly to save power but mainly because I thought a manual switch board looks awesome. (My working PC still has a control board with 14 switches  )
Then I was introduced to voice control and things got out of control

This particular board though is for another project. I’m building an Escape Room and this will be the control board for the room. The cables are mostly about 5m / 5yards sometimes 10.
The locks are fail-safe with power off.

I’m aware that raspberries don’t like abrupt power off but they can cope with it. I have several of them and never bothered to do a clean shutdown. :speak_no_evil: The only time it fails (almost always) when Kodi plays a movie and there is an abrupt power off. That needs an sd card reflashing.

I thought raspberries have controlled shutdown feature with gpio trigger…

And dead easy to send a proper shutdown for a pi via HA

Yes, but that needs a button…

I’ll look into this! THX

No it doesn’t.

This has piqued my interest. Please tell us more.

Do you have an UPS installed?

It’s an escape room. They can escape when the power comes back
