For anyone interested: “product_name”: “Smart LED Wall Lamp”, (square wall lights)

This worked for me . I have seen a lot of posts about Tuya products being rubbish. I personaly have found most of them generaly easy to set up and work well . But I had a little trouble with some arlec lamps on Tuyalocal .This post helped a lot. thanks

This mostly fixed it for me. Some values (like 255,21,0) output random colors (in this case, orange instead of red).
For anyone else who’s looking for a working solution, I have a Feit Electric RGB Strip Light from Costco.

Thank you all for helping the rest of us figure this out. However, in my case, this thread says one way and another thread says something slightly different. By combining the two threads, I was able to get my RGB lights set the way I want and included them in scenes.
The hang up for me, tho, was solved by:
First: There is the initial setup page. Only entity 20 is listed at first so check “Add new entity”

Second: When it asks what entity to add, select “Light”
Third: This should be the step for details of the new entity 21. It may be the step for the original entity 20. It will say at the top. I couldn’t fit it all in a single screenshot. This shot is for entity 20

Entity 21 is slightly different. Notice 22 instead of 23 under “color tempurature”

I hope this helps put it all together for those still struggling

This thread has been incredibly helpful, so I am going to add to it as well.

Regarding the LSC smart ceiling light (halo) from Action, this one has two separate lights.
Main Light: WW/CW
Auxiliary Light: ARGB with 12 separate LEDs that afaik can only be controlled individually via the Tuya app. I got it to work as one RGB light in HASS.

I have three entities set up:
20: master_on_off
63: main_light
54: aux_light
image

For the master on-off switch I used ID:20. That’s it. Nothing else is configured.

For the main light I used ID:63 and set Brightness to ID:22 and Color Temperature to ID:23. No mode, as that’s not applicable to the warm- / cold-white setup.

For the auxiliary “halo” light, I used ID:54. Only Color Mode with ID:55 and Color with ID:24 are configured.

I have not used any scene setups yet, as I currently have no need of that.

With this setup I have eliminated any unwanted switching of the main light when changing the aux light.

Hi, thank you for your screenshots and the information about the lamp configuration from action. I struggled with it for a few days and still couldn’t achieve a setup that fully satisfied me. It’s a pity that the halo ring can’t support full functionality like animations and so on, but this is still good enough. Thank you again, kind person.

thanks for the reminder to close the Tuya app. I had read somewhere about needing to do that, but had to be burned by it first for it to stick in my mind properly as a potential source of anguish

I have an Arlec EL450HA LED Strip light that can do colour brightness levels and colour temps.

It is working well with the following (didn’t have the same list of options as previous posters. I don’t know why)

ID: 20
Brightness: 22
Color Temp: 23
Color Mode: 21
Color: 25 (value: 000e0d0000000000000000c80000)
Scene: 25 (value: 000e0d0000000000000000c80000)

I would love to get rid of the colour (rgb kind of options) for the entity, but I don’t know if that’s possible. Anyone know if it’s possible or not?

cheers
