How to Make Relay Triggers?

Hi everyone. I have a mFi device that shows up as a switch on the Home Assistant webpage.

How do I make a button or something that can turn the switch on and off?
I would need the switch to be on for 1 second and off.

The switch is actually a relay but the Home Assistant shows it as a switch so that is why I am asking.

I am not sure what your question is exactly. Wikipedia say “A relay is an electrically operated switch.” So why is it wrong to show it as a switch? oO

An input boolean with an automation like this is probably what you want.

Because it’s actually a gate relay. Which needs to turn off after 1 second otherwise it could reduce the life of the relay.
