I saw that referred to in a thread somewhere on this forum, but the guy couldnā€™t get it to work. He strangely refused to use a convertor.

Some week ago i tried too a pzem-016 modified on a wemos d1 mini: it didnā€™t work. It works fine with pzem 004t v3. Same pzem-016 works fine with Tasmota. Strange thing is that 004t v3 and 016 uses the same modbus protocol and a modified 016 should be exactly the same as the 004t v3. When i will have time i will try again with a 485 to ttl converter (i have some)ā€¦ Do you remember wher is that thread?

Hi Iā€™m the author of the mod, I had it working using both Tasmota and ESPHome (lastest release). There is doc from ESPHome is not right, you should use stop_bits: 1 for PZEM-016

Hello friends I have read all message. I have tried monitoring pzem-004t.v3 throw a sonoff and a esp32 camā€¦ And no successā€¦
Please anyone can share a yaml file with full configuration for esphome.
I have configured uart with 1 and 2 stop bits, I am Using ā€œpzemacā€ I have tried with 3v and with 5v so I am not sure if it is importantā€¦

Please, anyone know how to solve it?
