iBeacon for simple presence detector

Hello.
What i need to buy for simple presence detector via iBeacon for me and my wife?
I think about a small tag to key chain to detect it in home or away.

Now i use iCloud presence but battery drainage is huuuuuge. At night from 100% to 24% in 8 hours.

I think a big step for home automation is knowing the location of the target person where he is inside the house (each room), in order to automate various functions better. From my understanding the way to go is a receiver/transmitter (better not your cellular, maybe something attached to your keys or similar) that you carry with you, and a transmitter/receiver that gets the signal and sends it to HA for proper use. Anyone did something similar?

I personally use OWNTRACKS. To supplement the sometimes flaky GPS location, I added this Bluetooth beacon to my living room :

Is any chance to share your configuration to improve owntrack localization?
I need only information enter/exit home zone.

Inside the Owntracks application, I simply add the UUID of my ibeacon device to my Region called Home.
