Impossible to connect to home assistant for first time [Resolved]

Hello,
I’m beginner in home Assistant (and in english too).
I followed what site said about first connection. The download seems OK. and the raspberry prompt : “homeassistant login :”, waiting for something (I dont know what).
My raspberry Pi3 is connected to my Livebox (french Livebox). I see the Raspberry on the Livebox dashboard with the name “homeassistant”. But when I write “homeassistant.local:8123” in Firefox, he replies it’s impossible to connect to. I tried “192.168.1.xx:8123”, the IP address + 8123, same reply.
Somebody can help me ?

Are you sure it’s the correct IP? My router can’t see the name Home Assistant on my raspberry.
But sure it sounds correct.
Have you waited enough time for the software to install? It takes 10-20 minutes

Can you ping it ?

Hey man, welcome to Home Assistant!

I’ve seen a very similar post here: Upgraded to new os - login required but doesn't work
But I haven’t looked at it in detail, as I chose a different type of installation.

Hello Hellis,
yes it’s correct IP
My box see well the name “homeassistant” and I never tell it this name.
I’ve waited for more than 20 minutes.

Yes, it seems it’s the same error.
I will try to use a USB stick for Static IP or download an older release of HA.

Hi Mike,
Do you know where I can find older release of HA ? I found nothing on GITHUB (I’m not use of it so)

Yes sir, here you go:

Scroll down to 4.7 and then click ‘assets’ and download the one with the same name as the one you’ve downloaded previously. If you have any questions, let me know!

Thank you Mike !
I see, 4.7 is a stable release. I’ll try it.

It’s ok now. Thank you again Mike.

Yeaah, très bien! Have fun :grinning:
