Install hassio on Lattepanda Alpha

Hi,
I’m trying to install hassio on a LattePanda Alpha
But the installation is not working correctly. Maybe I did something wrong, or the NUC image is not working for the Alpha.

What I did:

  • Starting the Alpha from USB Drive and a Ubuntu Live installation
  • Installing Etcher in Ubuntu and flashed the hassio NUC Build to the internal m.2 SSD
  • Shutting down the device, removed the USB drive and let the Alpha boot from internal SSD.
  • The first few seconds looks corretly but then, hassio stops here

Is this the correct way to do this?
Please Help

That image is designed to run on intel cpu and chipset hardware. I am not sure it will support the arduino hardware attached.

Probably better to install ubuntu or debian, and then install home assistant or hassio over that.

Hi thanks for reply.
This device has an Intel i3 prozessor. And The Arduino Part is disabled in the Bios.

But maybe is to different to and Intel NUC

I know it is i3. What the rest of the motherboard contains I don’t know.

The arduino is clearly detected by the kernel, and that’s where it stops.

Anyway, you have the solution.

Ok. The screen was taking with Arduino activ. But it hangs one step ahead when Arduino is disabled.
But you are right. I try to use the Docker version in Ubuntu.

Thanks

Cool looking device I must say

Little feedback
The LattePanda Alpha runs perfectly fine with Ubuntu and Docker. Pretty fast and very stable. No issues since 10 Days.
