How long does that UPS last when you lose power?
I also run home assistant on a nuc along with around 20 other docker containers. I would agree with everyone that any nuc will be more than adequate.
I dont know really, it probably depends onthe load from the nuc but I have not had any powercut since I bought it
Best case scenario is idling power at about 7 to 8W. Assume you use 4x 2200mA 18650 batteries (3.7V x 2.2 x 4 = 32.6 Wh) and that the dc-dc converter is 85% efficient - that’s a bit over 3.5 hours run time.
Worst case (working hard at 150W) it’s about 10 minutes.
Also this does not take into account that there might be low voltage cut off to protect the batteries at 80% depth of discharge (take another 20% off the times).
