@perfect This is the way the AlarmdotCom integration has worked even when it was “native” to HA. I don’t know if that’s just they way Alarm.com is on their service or if it’s the way these integrations have been written. For my use case, it’s no big deal. I let the alarm service handle then “big” stuff like a newly opened window in the middle of the night. I’m using HA to do stuff like turn on the alarm when we leave and turn off the AC when I leave the back door open. If you need an instant-response event in HA, then you’re in the right track with a separate set of sensors.
