I was mostly referring to the “automatically activate VPN when accessing certain URLs”-part for iOS. Can’t help you figure it out because I’m on Android, though.

Not extreme at all. It’s amusing watching all these attempts to secure a site while disregarding the primary rule of NO BACK DOORS. Having a single point of entry does make securing much easier.
